My name is Laura Serrat and I am a Clinical Psychologist working in a public hospital in Spain. I studied at the Ininstitut d’Asistencia Sanitaria de Salt (Girona) from 2014 to 2018. During that time I studied under different clinicians, from whom I learned different approaches, which was a very rich experience. In 2017 I chose one of my rotations at the Brief Therapy Center of the Mental Research Institute (MRI) in Palo Alto where I dove more deeply into the Problem Solving Brief Therapy that is their approach
I currently work at the Hospital de Día de Salud Mental para Adultos de Salt, in their outpatient clinic. We work with a population with moderate to serious mental health problems. We apply an interdisciplinary modality mostly in a group setting which are complemented with individual psychotherapy, depending on what each situation requires. I am also a professor at this public hospital: my students are all become clinicians.
